The sole course of West Volusia County, Fun Town is tucked in Orange City just a mile or so from Blue Springs State Park. Fun Town offers plenty to do, with a lively arcade, go-kart track, batting cages, and more. Their mini-golf course is the roadside eye-catcher, featuring a safari theme with multiple animal statues that immediately stand out. The course has a good bit going for it, including some cool hole designs and great decor, although it could benefit from a couple of upgrades.
Ryan’s Review
Having grown up in nearby DeLand, Fun Town is technically my home course, and it mostly holds up to my memories. The hole designs are fun and feature some solid variety. The course is interspersed with shady areas, which is crucial for central Florida mini-golfing. They’ve even implemented a sponsorship program, allowing them to maintain holes well in exchange for advertising local business as hole sponsors. However, Fun Town’s 18 holes are not without their flaws.
My main gripe is based on misleading information. On the Fun Town score card, there is a section explaining the rules of their gimmick: certain holes have a 2nd red cup, and if your ball finishes in that cup you take an extra stroke. It’s a cool idea that we were excited to try, but it appears the gimmick has been phased out of the course. If we were unaware that it had existed before, it wouldn’t have been a problem, but expecting a fun challenge only to be disappointed by its absence soured the experience a bit. This could easily be solved by printing new score cards, though I understand there are costs associated, so I’m sure it’ll happen down the line. Honestly though, I think they’d be better off re-integrating the gimmick holes. They sounded fun!
Otherwise, the course didn’t do anything poorly, but it also didn’t do anything stellar. I’d consider it a fun option if you’re over on the west side, but it doesn’t outscore standout courses like Congo River.

Carson’s Review
I mainly agree with Ryan on most of the things he said, but we are very different people. I also thought the water-spraying elephant was a little too powerful because I got very wet. The tunnel holes were my favorite types of holes. I was also disappointed about the red cups because I was very excited to add them to my strategy. The safari theme was great, besides the rainy elephant, and the course is worth going to.
